MARY THOMAS
Henderson, TN: Mary Ruth Thomas, age 58 passed away August 20, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Humboldt, TN the daughter of the late Happle and Betty James Blackburn. She graduated from Trenton Peabody High School in 1972. She was married to Tony Thomas on August 10, 1979. Mary attended Business College and received her Real Estate Broker’s License. She operated Thomas Realty for 24 years. Mrs. Thomas was a Baptist. She enjoyed her flowers and hummingbirds.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Thomas of Henderson; four daughters, Lori Qualls (Jeremy) of Whiteville, Alison Ann Bullman (Jerry) of Henderson, Lisa Smith (Bradley Joe) of Paris and Sara Thomas of Henderson; four grandchildren, Lauren Qualls, Hayden Qualls, Ethan Pickens and Mary Helen Smith; two sisters, Janice Richerson (Tommy) of Jackson and Phyllis Smith of Jackson and a brother, Jerry Blackburn (Dawn) of Trenton, TN.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Bro. Tiny Ray Bullman officiating and burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Wednesday.
