MARY LAVERNE SMITH TAYLOR

entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on May 23, 2018 at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 18 days. She was born January 5, 1923 the daughter of the late Thomas Miles and Lillie Powell Smith.

She was a faithful member of Lebanon Methodist Church of Sardis, Tennessee for over eighty two years, and was retired from Brown Shoe Company of Savannah, Tennessee. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting and sewing.

To cherish her memories, she leaves a daughter, Doris Jean Williams of Memphis, Tennessee and a son Larry Joe Taylor and his wife Linda of Lexington, Tennessee; one sister, Ruby Nell Wright of Memphis, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl B. Taylor, one son, James Earl Taylor, and son-in-law, Tommie Williams, sister, Lavelle Bivens and her brothers, Raymond, Haydron, Cecil, Douglas, Randolph, Horace and Dean Smith.
