Mrs. Mary Short of Trenton departed this life at the age of 56 years,
4 months and 4 days at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital,
on January 3, 2013.
Mrs. Short was born in Stockton, California August 30, 1956 to the
late John and Mary Riley Cox. On December 14, 1985 she was
united in marriage to Dick Short, who survives. She, with her
husband, owned and operated Short Construction in Trenton for 20
years, and was Baptist in faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, John
Wayne Short of Trenton, Danny Cox of Clear Lake, CA, Timothy
Thompson of Madisonville, LA, Jason Short of Santa Rosa, CA,
Mike Short of Santa Rosa, CA and Steve Short of Santa Rosa, CA;
three sisters, Vivian Cox, Buffy Cox and Johnny Cox all of Lake
County, CA; and 14 grandchildren.
