Mary Dona Reaves

March 21, 1924 — February 2, 2012

Mary Dona (Donie) Reaves was born March 21, 1924 in Michie, TN the daughter of the late Phillip Homer and Nancy Pearl Bolding Price.



She was united in marriage to Charles Edward Reaves on June 30, 1945. Mr. Reaves preceded her in death on August 3, 1998.



Mrs. Reaves was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Methodist Church in Michie, Tennessee. She loved to garden, read her Bible, crochet, and work crossword puzzles. She played basketball at New Hope Elementary with her lifelong friend, Effie Emmons, and attended Michie High School.



While living in Memphis, she was an active member of the Eastside Nazarene Church. She was the president of the World Mission Society, taught Sunday school, sung specials with her husband, played the guitar, and help teach Vacation Bible School. She leaves a legacy of Christian love and kindness to her children and grandchildren.



Mrs. Reaves departed this life on February 2, 2012 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 10 Months, 12 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Seavers and husband Benny of Eads, TN; three sons: Phillip Reaves of Michie, TN, Ralph Reaves and wife Tamara of Michie, TN, and Dennis Reaves and wife Cindy of Southaven, MS; a lifelong friend, Effie Emmons of Guys, TN; 19 grandchildren: Darren Seavers, Barry Seavers, Chrissy Mitchell, Karen Boswell, Jennifer Julian, Daisy Woodruff, Phillip Reaves, Anthony Reaves, Brian Reaves, Nicholas Reaves, Tonya Reaves, Amanda McCollum, Sarah Hereth, Mary Reaves, Molly Reaves, Stacye Reaves, Dusty Albarracin, Haylee Gudino, and Raven Gudino; 34 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Reaves was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Edward Reaves; two brothers, David Arnold Price and Lawson Grady (L. G.) Price.
