Mary Corine (Mae) Dillihunt Porter departed this life on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, 29 days.
She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 25, 1925, the daughter of the late Andrew and Ada Goodlow Dillihunt. She was united in marriage to Thomas Jefferson Porter on January 7, 1978, he preceded her in death on September 24, 1999.
Mrs. Porter was self employed as a housekeeper. She enjoyed cooking, watching soap operas, westerns, and Wheel of Fortune. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed taking care of others.
She is survived by her children, Jerry E. Porter, Mary Lee Holt, and Chearlyn Ann Yarbro all of Savannah, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, Jerry A. Porter, Gloria Porter, Albert Porter, Zena Lascano, Rodney Davis, Jerry E. Porter, Charles Porter, Shauna Holt, Marlon Yarbro, Pam Haymer, Terrance Tucker, Tavish Tucker, and Tonya Tucker Rice; 30 great grandchildren, Jackie Porter, Samone Porter, Albert Durham, Ryan Davis, Sada Porter, Ray Lascano, Charles Porter, Nichols Porter, Chelsea Lascano, Demi Davis, Darrius Porter, Tiana Robinson, Jaylen Porter, Tavion Robinson, Holly Porter, Aaliyah Porter, Dylan Carmack, Anthony Oakley, Gabrielle Porter, Jerrica Porter, Kobe Davis, Michael Garrett, Marlon Yarbro, Jr., Soleain Tucker, Rein Bumpous, Aaron Bumpous, Brandy Nicole, David Rice, Michael David Rice, and Tabitha Tucker; 8 great-great grandchildren, Pierre Porter, Amiya Porter, Amarianna Porter, D'Kais Porter, Dereon Robinson, Keyshawn Durham, Albert Durham, Jr., and D'Asia Durham; sister, Rosie Neal of Lawton, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Billie Ross and Maxine Ross both of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 special friends, John Russell of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Mattie Jackson and Deshawn Turner both of Savannah, Tennessee.
