Mary Omega Pitts

Mary Omega Pittswas born in Decatur County, Tennessee on July 5, 1924 the daughter of the late Charlie Ramsom and Dolly Jones Stanfill.On January 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to Hardy Parker Pitts, he preceded her in death on November 4, 1989.Ms. Pitts was a member of the Saltillo Church of Christ and the Saltillo Senior Citizens. She had worked for H.I.S. Sportswear as a seamstress. She loved to quilt, garden, and she could swing a mean switch.Ms. Pitts departed this life on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the age of 84 years, 10 months, 30 days.Ms. Pitts is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Ruth of Selmer, Tennessee; a son, Barney Parker Pitts of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Tony Ruth, Matt Pitts, and Corey Pitts; 3 great-grandchildren, Cassidy Ruth, Cannon Ruth, and Dustin Ruth.In addition to her husband and parents, Ms. Pitts was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Jewell Hanna, Thelma Scott, and Violet Stanfill; 3 brothers, Clyde Stanfill, Opal Stanfill, and Guy Stanfill; a grandchild, Lisa Ruth.
