Mary Linda Zink Paul passed into eternal life on February 17, 2021, Ash Wednesday, a Christian day of prayer and fasting, at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 22 days. Mary was born on June 26, 1932 in East Aurora, New York to Harold and Arlene Webster Zink. Mary wed Harold W. Paul in 1957 and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2014. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved camping with family, fishing, gardening, birdwatching, collecting art glass, rug-making, sewing and painting. She was particularly fond of hummingbirds. Hal and Mary also enjoyed RVing. Mary was a proud descendant of the Webster family of New Hampshire. Other than her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Arlene Webster Zink, brother and sister-in-law, Lou and Dotty Zink, daughter and son-in-law, Linda Paul Morrin and Allen Morrin and daughter-in-law, Karen Paul. Surviving are her sons, Edward, Jim (Lenore), Lou (Dolores), John (Jean), 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives, loved ones and friends. The family would like to thank her friends everywhere and her caregivers at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center (especially Lisa, her "angel" during the national quarantine), Special thanks are also due to Shackelford funeral home staff, and Fathers Kevin, Tien, and John, the National Shrine of Divine Mercy, Mother Teresa Margaret, O. Carm and all who supported Mary through prayer. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, TN with Father John officiating. Cremation will follow with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Waynesboro, TN at a later date. A memorial service will possibly be held in the future.
