Mary Elizabeth (Lib) Pope Nutt of Waynesboro, TN was born October 12, 1949 in Lewis Co., TN, the daughter of the late Robert Lynn and Margaret Walker Pope. She was united in marriage to Jerry Nutt on November 23, 1966.
Mrs. Nutt was an office clerk with the city of Clifton and had worked at Trace Manufacturing, Karpati Industries and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.
and departed this life on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Thomas, West in Nashville, Tennessee after a sudden illnes at the age of 66 Years, 8 Months, 17 Days.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Nutt and a daughter, Kelly Gatlin and husband, Bob all of Waynesboro, TN; a granddaughter, Chelsey Gatlin of Nashville, TN; brothers, Billy Pope and wife, Ann of Waynesboro, TN, Jimmy Pope and wife, Diane of Whiteville, TN and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nutt was preceded in death by a sister, Burma Odle.
Services will be Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Harold Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Baucham Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing.
Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2016 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
