Mary Nell Emmons Nutt

Mary Nell Emmons Nutt of Waynesboro, TN was born October 26, 1954 in Selmer, TN, the daughter of the late James Malcolm and Effie Victoria Richards Emmons. Ms Nutt was a retired Special Education Teacher, having taught for 30 years at Wayne County High School in Waynesboro, TN. She was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church and Ladies in Pink Society. Ms Nutt departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2022 at her home at the age of 68 Years, 1 Month, 9 Days. She is survived by a son, Eddie Nutt and wife, Jo Ann of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Renee Nutt of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Mason Nutt, Makale Dixon and Mackenzie Nutt; a brother, Joe David Emmons of Guys, TN; nieces, Jennifer Lynn Manus and husband, Rusty and Leah Paige Mitchell and husband, Jackson. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery at Ramer, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, 104 W. Hill Street, Waynesboro, TN assisting the family. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 9 am to 11 am at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Taylor, Mason Nutt, Makale Dixon, Tommy Hopkins, Jim Beavers and Dale Monroe.
