Mary Grace Mayfield

Mrs. Mary Grace Mayfield of Silerton departed this life at the age of 71 years Sunday evening, November 25, 2012 at Bolivar General Hospital.
She was born in Hardeman County January 29, 1941 to the late Robert Henry and Annie Mae Jones Oakes and lived all of her life in the area. On September 10, 1960 she was united in marriage to Mr. Truman Mayfield, who later preceded her in death December 31, 1983. She and her husband owned and operated Mayfield Grocery in Silerton and she also worked for 18 years as a school bus driver. She was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening and loved dogs.
She is survived by three daughters, LaQuanta Schwahn and husband Russell of Hardeman County, Andreia Mayfield Doyle and husband Steven of Silerton, and Brenda Logan and husband Brian of Grafton, Ohio; two sons, Robert W. Mayfield and wife Traci of Silerton and Randall Mayfield and wife Shelley of Silerton; and eleven grandchildren, Jacob Mayfield, John Mayfield, Dylon Schwahn, Truman Mayfield, Reese Mayfield, Holland Mayfield, Gracie Doyle, Sophie Doyle, Spencer Doyle, Carrie Bush and Melanie Logan.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Oakes and James Oaks, and a grandchild, Leah Mayfield.
