Mary Mattox

Mrs. Mary Faith Patterson Mattox was born May 11, 1935, in Lawrenceburg, TN the daughter of the late Jake M and Dorothy Young Patterson. Mrs. Mattox was a homemaker and a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN. She was united in marriage to Collie "Pop" Mattox Jr. on May 29, 1953. Mr. Mattox preceded her in death on August 11, 2018. Mrs. Mattox departed this life on January 25, 2022, in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 8 Months, 14 Days.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Mattox and wife Patrice of Athens, AL, Mike Mattox and wife B.J. of Waynesboro, TN; a brother, Bill Patterson and wife Sally of Lawrenceburg, TN; ten grandchildren, Jim Mattox, Jennifer Royal, Laura Novotny, Suzanne Reed, Ryan Mattox, Meagon Ramsey, Ashley Corbin, Jessica Moser, Dustin Hargrove, Katie Hargrove and 20 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

In addition to her husband of 65 years and her parents, Mrs. Mattox was preceded in death by a sister, Delphia Ann Moncrief.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022, from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro.

Services will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Waynesboro with Kerry Franks officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
