Mary M. Lee was born April 22, 1943 in Wyandotte, MI the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Smith Mcnabney.She was united in marriage to Pat Lee on June 6, 1964.Mrs. Lee graduated from High School in Morristown, NJ. She attended Virginia Intermont Junior College in Bristol, VA for two years, then transferred to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she graduated with a degree in Psychology. Mrs. Lee taught elementary education for 37 years, beginning in Selmer and concluding in Adamsville. She was a member of the Tennessee Education Association and the National Education Association, during which time she served as a State Representative from Tennessee. She enjoyed sewing, having made cheerleader uniforms for the local schools and banners for McNairy Central High School. Mrs. Lee was a member of the Selmer First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Lee departed this life on May 30, 2013 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 1 Month, 8 Days. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Pat Lee of Selmer, TN; two sons, Rick Lee and wife Carol, presently living in China, and Scott Lee of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren: Whittney Lee, Caroline Lee, Samantha Lee, and Patrick Lee; a brother, John Mcnabney and wife Joyce of CT; special caregivers Candice Kirkpatrick and Stephanie Moore; and many extended family and friends.
