Henderson: Mary Ruth Linton Jones, age 88, died August 20, 2008 at Chester County Healthcare.
She was born in Chester County, the daughter of the late John and Fronnie Fisher Linton. She was educated in Chester County and was married to Wilford (Shorty) Jones in 1939. They made their home in and around Henderson. She worked for a short time at Chester County Nursing Home and for many years at Gano Cafateria.
She is survived by two sons; Ronald Jones and wife Wanda of Henderson and Ray Jones and wife Patricia of Henderson; four grandchildren; Michael Jones, Donald Jones, Debbie Goodwin and Denise Stanford; three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Wilford Jones in 1979: three sisters, Dorothy Connor, Dona Thompson and Edna Maness, a brother, Willie Linton and a grandson, Tony Jones.
