Mary Virginia Johnston

Mrs. Johnston died Saturday evening, December 22, 2012 at Crestview Healthcare in Brownsville, TN. She was the widow of Mr. Harry Johnston who died November 21, 1994. They were married March 13, 1947.
A native of Bolivar, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Annie Gibson Breeden. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the Whiteville First United Methodist Church and had been owner/operator of Mary Johnston's Beauty Shop for 42 years. She spent all of her adult life in Whiteville.
Among her survivors, she leaves her son, George T. Johnston of Collierville and his wife, Candie; four grandchildren, Tommy, Corey and Tyler Johnston and Kathy Dyson; and two great-grandchildren, Avery and Conner Johnston.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tess Roark; and two brothers, Neely and Tate Breeden.
