Mary D. Murray Johnson was born June 13, 1916 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Arthur and Maggie Emmons Murray.She was united in marriage to B. B. (Bonzie) Johnson on June 13, 1930. Mr. Johnson preceded her in death on November 3, 1984.Mrs. Johnson was a Cook for the Dixie Cafe and the Tower Service Station. She was best known for her Butter Roll recipe. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee and loved gardening.She is survived by her nieces Dorothy Horton of Town Creek, AL, Connie Mullins of Lawton, TN, Janice Carroll of Selmer, TN, Rachel Kiser of Bethel Springs, TN, and Cindi Dodson of Seagoville, TX; her nephews Charles Ellis of Selmer, TN and Johnny Ellis of Dallas, TX as well as a large host of great nieces and great nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by four sisters, Nola Wheeler, Grace Johnson, Martha (Murray) Elkins her twin sister, and infant sister Patie Murray; two brothers, Grover Murray, Wes Murray;her niece Phoebe Prather and her nephews Robert Murray, Kenneth Johnson, Ernest Johnson and Leland Johnson.
