Mary Jo Norwood, age 65 of Ramer, departed this life on Sunday, February 19, 2006, surrounded by her loving family at her home following a long and courageous battle with (PSP) Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
Mary Jo was a retired cosmetologist, a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Ramer and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 270, in Corinth, Mississippi.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Emmit and Virdie Gurley. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, James Norwood; her daughters and sons-in-law,Tisa and Scotty Strickland, Tonya and Philip Reaves; and her pride and joy, 5 grandchildren, Cameron Ward, Raven Gudino, Haylee Gudino, Addison Westbrook, and Dusty Albarracin. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Ed Reynolds.
Funeral services are Wednesday, February 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer at 11 o’clock with interment to follow at Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs.
