Mrs. Mary Deming Jared, age 86 of Medon, departed this life Thursday, January 26 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Arthur Franklin Jared, who preceded her in death December 14, 1990, Mrs. Jared was born in Hardeman County April 29, 1925 to the late Robert Lee and Elizabeth McWilliams Deming. She lived all of her life in the area and made her residence in Medon over the last 30 years. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Fitts in Bolivar for many years and worshiped at the First United Methodist Church in Bolivar as well as the Clover Creek Baptist Church in Medon.
She leaves as her survivors a nephew, Robert Sipes and wife Betty of Bolivar; a niece, Lindy Slaughter, her husband Myron and daughters Jami Slaughter and Rachel Thearp; a nephew, Robby Sipes of Gainesville, FL; a stepson, Glen Jared and wife Darlene of Medon; a stepdaughter, Kay Jared of Lexington; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Sara Deming Sipes; and three brothers, Robert Cornelius "Jackie" Deming, Winfred Deming and Ellis "Red" Deming.
