Mary Frances Irwin, 71, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Transitional Care.
The widow of Derrington Irwin, who died June 6, 1996, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Irwin was born September 12, 1934 in Bolivar, daughter of the late James Robert Young and Allie Hazlegrove Young and lived here all of her life. She graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1952 and was very involved with Masons & Shriners. Mrs. Irwin was a former President of the Ladies Auxillary and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bolivar where she formerly sang in the choir.
Graveside services were 11 AM Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Union Cemetery near Bolivar with David Cooper officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Lindsey Frost of Bolivar and Loren Frost of Knoxville and five grandchildren, Brittany, Brennan, Alden, Braxdon and Garrick. She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Allie Evelyn Frost and sister, Hazel Cotton.
