MARY LUCILLE HUDGENS
was born on August 6, 1922, in Cumberland City, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John Milton and Olean Wickham Parchment. On January 24, 1947, she was united in marriage to George Miller Hudgens, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1991.
Mrs. Hudgens received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Women's College in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and retired from McNairy County General Hospital in Selmer, Tennessee. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Savannah, Tennessee.
On June 5, 2013, she departed this life at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 90 years, 9 months, and 30 days.
She is survived by her children, James Miller Hudgens, Thomas Neil Hudgens, Vickie McLemore, John Milton Hudgens and his wife Myra, and Rita Derr and her husband, Donald, all of Savannah, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Kevin McLemore and his wife Terra, Misty McLemore, Jarrod Hudgens, Katherine Gearhart and her husband Chance, Matthew Derr and his wife Brianne, and Jordan Derr; and four great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Sparks, Caleb Sparks, Carter McLemore and Brayden McLemore; a brother, Ray Parchment of Granite City, Illinois and a sister, Jeanette Sykes of Madison, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald Parchment, Roy Parchment and Samuel Parchment.
