Henderson, TN: Mary Rachel Holland age 86 passed away January 23, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Jackson, TN on May 30, 1925 the daughter of the late Wiley Freeman and Sadie Adie Pierce Maness. She was the widow of Mr. Ruil Holland. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Henderson. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, VFW and Chester County Senior Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Jean Sanders of Henderson; a son, Gary Sowell (Nori) of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Dorothy Norton of Crown Point, IN and Jean Juntune of Wisconsin; and a brother William Maness of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Sarah Gertrude Romero and two sisters, Louise Replogle and Gladys Stapleton and a brother, Charles Maness.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She touched our lives with her presence and we will always be thankful for that wonderful gift of God.
