Mary Elizabeth Hinton

She was born in Martin, TN, Weakley County, the daughter of the late John Luby and Belle Pound Sullivan. She was raised by Mrs. Gholson in Fulton, KY, after her parent’s death. She attended schools in Fulton, KY. She was married to John Vernon Hinton of Lexington, TN in 1936. They lived most of their life in Fulton, KY, moved to Memphis for a short time and moved to Henderson in 1989. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the Beech Bluff Baptist Church. She loved taking care of her family. She was dearly loved by her children and grandchildren.



She is survived by two daughters Gloria Ann Bowen of South Haven, MS and Jeanie Crouthers and husband Charles of Henderson, TN; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her husband John Vernon Hinton in 2003.
