Mrs. Hazelwood died Sunday morning at Tri-County Healthcare in Adamsville.
A native of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late C. W. and Mammie Rose Vandiver Henson. She married Mr. Frank Hazelwood on February 4, 1947 in Corinth, MS. They were married 63 years. Mrs. Hazelwood was a licensed beautician, a LPN and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with her degree as a Registered Nurse. She had worked at WMHI in Bolivar, the VA Hospital in Memphis and at Bolivar General Hospital. She was a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and was especially fond of travelling and cooking.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Rose Mary Rodgers of Southaven, MS; five grandchildren, Sherry Hazelwood Dunavant, Brandy Hazelwood Cary, B. J., Cody and Jason Rodgers; seven great-grandchildren, Ellie, Sophie and Willow Dunavant; Ava, Jake and Josie Cary; and Deysi Rodgers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean Hazelwood; and two sons, George Thomas and John Edward Hazelwood.
