Funeral services for Mary Geneva Givens, age 85, of Cypress St.
Florence, AL will be 1:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Shackelford Chapel in Collinwood, TN with Emerald Bailey and Gerald Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Emory Cemetery near Florence with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.
Mrs. Givens, a native of Lauderdale County, died August 24, 2006 at Florence Nursing Home and Rehab Center after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Augustus and Ada Wilson Chambers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Givens; an infant child, James Givens; great grandson, Justin Givens, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
She was a member of Bethel Grove Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by sons, Edward Givens of Iron City; Earl Givens of
Florence; daughters, Lorene Sharp of Florence; and Carolyn Martin of Iron City; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
