Funeral services for Mary Francis Franks, age 73, of Nashville, TN will be One p.m. Monday, August 20, 2007 at Shackelford Chapel in Collinwood with James Mark Tillar and Kerry Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Franks, a native of Wayne County, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at her home in Nashville. She was a daughter of the late Wiley Skaggs and Madgie Brewer Skaggs. She was preceded in death by brothers, Tommy, Donald Ray, and Darnell Skaggs; and a sister, Thelma Stults. She was a mill worker and a member of Shelby Ave. Baptist Church in Nashville.
She is survived by her husband, J.C. Franks of Nashville; sons, Laddie Gordon Franks and Roy Lee Franks both of Lebanon, TN, and Donald J. Franks of Nashville, TN; daughters, Rachel Susan Brewer of Revilo, TN and Delores Diane Lopp of Westpoint, TN; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, Dalton Skaggs of Collinwood, TN; and sisters, Arnell Turnbo and Pat Burns both of Waynesboro, TN, Blanche Burnett of Madison, TN, Faye Pennington and Penny Dodd both of Nashville, TN, and Pattie Pigg of Collinwood, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
