Mary Rheba Flatt

Mary R. Green Flatt was born June 19, 1927 in Wright, Tennessee the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth McCollum Green.On January 13, 1945 she was united in marriage to R. D. Brown who preceded her in death on January 24, 1981. She was united in marriage to James H. Flatt on June 2, 1983. Mr. Flatt preceded her in death on July 31, 2007.Mrs. Flatt was a retired machine operator for Harwood Manufacturing and Automotive Fabrics. She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. She was a member of VFW Ladies' Auxiliary, the McNairy Regional Hospital Senior Circle, and was a foster grandmother @ McNairy Central High School for 7 years.Mrs. Flatt departed this life on September 1, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 2 Months, 13 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Brown of Selmer, TN, Jane Martin of Bethel Springs, TN; a sister, Thelma Godwin of Adamsville, TN; two brothers, Gene Green of La Vergne, TN, Robert Green of Ponoka, Canada; 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Flatt was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherron Sue Scott; a sister, Easter May Green; and six brothers, Carl Green, Henry Green, Clarence Green, Maxie Green, Montie Green and George Green.
