Mary Young Meek Faught

Mrs. Mary Nell (Young) Meek Faught was born May 30, 1929 in Finger, TN the daughter of the late William Troy Young and Lela Eutoka Hutchison. Mrs.Faught departed this life on October 21, 2015 at her home in Tullahoma, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 4 Months, 21 Days.
She attended Old and New Friendship schools in Chester County, TN. She married Lelon Meek on September 5, 1952 and they made their home in Memphis, Tennessee where she was a homemaker to her husband and children. Mr. Meek died January 2, 1996. She later married John R. Faught and they made their home in Mississippi. Mr. Faught preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. Faught loved gardening, needlework and fishing. She was a member of the Wilson Ave. Church of Christ in Tullahoma, TN.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Henson and husband Tim of Tullahoma, TN, Tonya Tucker and husband Mark of Nashville, TN; a son, Mickey Meek and wife Jane of Tullahoma, TN; a sister, Lela Mae Meek of Henderson, TN; two brothers, W. T. Young of Phoenix, AZ, William Hayes Young of Texas; 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs.Faught was preceded in death by a sister, Loraine Weaver; and a brother, Howard Young.
Services will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with John Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Chester County Memory Gardens at Henderson, Tennessee.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 11:00 AM untiil 1:00 PM service time at Johnson Chapel.
