Mary Lee Cox

Mrs. Cox passed away Friday at her home in Mercer.



The widow of Charlie W. "Pat" Cox, who died on Feb. 10, 1993 after almost 57 years of marriage, she was a homemaker, farmers wife and production worker at the Kilgore Corporation. She was born to Lexus Lenard King and Lula Beatrice Wilson King, both of whom preceded her in death, and lived in Cloverport for 75 years. Mrs. Cox was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church, taught ladies Sunday School class there and sang in the choir, singing solos and original songs she had written.



Survivors include four daughters, Thelma Moore and Janie Finley, both of Cloverport, Joann Carroll and Clara Brignole, both of Collierville; a sister, Judy Fisher of Florida; four brothers, Cecil King of Cleveland, Ohio, Marion King of Memphis, Edward King of Byhalia, MS and Jimmy King of Florida; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
