Mary Rebecca "Becky" Cossar, 60, of Hickory Valley, died Monday
afternoon, March 14, 2005 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The wife of J.W. Cossar, who survives, she retired as a payroll clerk at Western Mental Health Institute after 40 years service. Mrs. Cossar
was born March 16, 1944 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late R. B. Young and Eddie Penn Hillhouse Young and lived here all of her life. She was a member of Bolivar Church of Christ.
Services were 12 noon Wednesday, March 16 at Shackelford's chapel in Bolivar with Dennis Callahan officiating, and Arie Sain, Edna Ford, and Christy Williams also speaking. Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery with Doug Maxwell speaking at the graveside.
In addition to her husband, whom she married October 19, 1962,
survivors include one son, Todd Cossar of Munford; one daughter, Julie Cossar Jones of Martin; three sisters, Linda Young of Bolivar, Karen Wright of Martin and Suzanne Millican of Memphis and three
brothers, Terry Young of Martin, Steve Young of Bolivar and Mike
Young of Jackson. She was preceded in death by one son, J.W. Cossar, Jr. and one brother, James Allen Young.
