Mrs. Mary Sue Coleman was born July 16, 1917 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi the daughter of the late Thomas Lafaytte Jernigan and the late Annie Elizabeth Utley Jernigan. She was united in marriage to Clifford Coleman on July 17, 1948. Mrs. Coleman was a Homemaker and was a member of the Court Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Coleman departed this life on September 14, 2005 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 1 Month, 29 Days. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Coleman of Selmer, Tennessee; three daughters: Linda Woolrich of Louisville, Kentucky, Sandra Robinson of Selmer, Tennessee, and Teresa Null of Selmer, Tennessee; a son, Neal Coleman of Selmer, Tennessee; two brothers: Charles Jernigan of Counce, Tennessee, and Brodie Jernigan and wife Betty of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nine grandchildren: Terry Coleman, Linda Kay Booker, Marty Robinson, Tracy Damron, Bridget Hamm, Ashley Bauman, Jonathan Coleman, Allison Coleman, and Dustin Coleman; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coleman was also preceded in death by her former husband, Ted McCarter; a sister, Patsy Campbell, and a brother, Michael Jernigan.
