Mary Helen Cherry departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 24 days. She was born in Jackson County, Tennessee on May 8, 1928 the daughter of the late Dewey and Ruby Jenkins Rogers.
Mary enjoyed judging cat shows. She had been a member of the Lebanon Road church of Christ, Donelson church of Christ, and the Pleasant Hill church of Christ. She had worked in the clerical department of Washington Manufacturing Company before retiring.
She is survived by her children, Richard Cherry of Sharpsburg, Kentucky and Patti Rickman of Shiloh, Tennessee; grandchildren, Rebecca Dale, Sara Hendrix, Clay Cherry, Chris Jayne, Heather Jayne, and Clint Hornaday; great-grandchildren, Trevor Dale, Graham Dale, Quinn Hendrix, Parker Kelly, Ryland Jayne, Keaton Jayne, Braden Jayne, Marley Jayne, Mac Chambers, Addicus Chambers, and Landen Rickman; and a brother, James Rogers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wayne Cherry on July 3, 1997 and a brother, Hugh Rogers.
