Mary Katherine Brown, 78, of Bolivar, died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at McNairy County General Hospital in Selmer.
The widow of Curtis Laverne Brown, who died November 30, 1999 after 26 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. Mrs Brown was born October 7, 1926 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Frank and Tinnie O’Dell Doyle and lived here most of her life. She was a member of Bolivar Church of Christ.
Services were 1 PM Friday, September 16, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial was in Rainey Cemetery near Toone.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Kiggins of Woodville and Mary Sedberry of Henderson; two sons, Jimmy McAlpin of Toone and Clyde McAlpin of Middleton; two sisters, Frances Moss of Olive Branch, Miss. and Lucy Bone of Memphis; one brother, Perry Doyle of Memphis; two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson.
