MARY BLEDSOE

Henderson, TN: Mary Francis Bledsoe age 55 passed away April 9, 2019 at Tristar Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, TN.

She was born September 2, 1963 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of the late Warren Eugene and Donna Marie Griffith Williams. She grew up in Memphis, and was a 1982 graduate of Memphis Central High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert ”Bobby” Bledsoe on June 20, 1981. She worked for Cecil’s Grocery Company in Memphis for a few years and K & B Drug Store in Memphis for three years before working for Walmart as an optical assistant for thirteen years. In 2008, she and Bobby moved to Henderson and she began working at Walgreens in Jackson and transferred to Walgreens in Lexington in 2009 where she was Assistant Manager until retiring in 2011.

She was very active in the Pro-Life movement, was a member of First Baptist Church in Henderson, where she sang in the choir, and loved her children and grandchildren.

She loved flowers and birds and being outside; and was kind and never met a stranger. She helped raise her grandchildren and taught her daughters to be good mothers.

Mrs. Bledsoe is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Bledsoe of Henderson and three daughters, Christina Marie Guidry (Christopher) of Beaverton, OR, Amy Michelle Neilsen (David) of Tampa, FL and Jessica Nicole Long (Anthony) of Memphis, TN and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Johnny Williams.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday April 13, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Brad Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
