Mary D. Blankenship

Mary D. Richard Blankenship was born January 11, 1931 in Church Point, Louisiana the daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and Angelle Gautreaux Richard.She was united in marriage to George Blankenship who preceded her in death on October 28, 1985.Mrs. Blankenship was a homemaker and a member of Little Pass Baptist Mission in Charenton, Louisiana. She departed this life on Thursday, March 8, 2007 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 1 Month, 25 Days. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by three daughters, Carlene Swiber and husband David of Bayou Vista, Louisiana, Janice Voisin and husband Irvin of Labadieville, Louisiana and Susan Bearden and husband Dennis of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; two stepdaughters, Deanna Hillebran and husband Paul of Morgan City, Louisiana and Brenda Helveston of Morgan City, Louisiana; two stepsons, George Wayne Blankenship and wife Joyce of Enville, Tennessee and Donald Blankenship of Morgan City, Louisiana; one sister, Emily Bourgeois of New Iberia, Louisiana; one brother, Alec Richard of Vida, Texas; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by two step daughters, Ruth Ann Keiffer and Sandra Gail Blankenship; a sister, three brothers, a step grandson and a step granddaughter.
