Mrs. Mary Ann Cofer of Memphis departed this life at the age of 93 years, 7 months, 8 days Thursday morning, December 6, 2012.
Mrs. Cofer was born in Haywood County April 28, 1919 to the late John David and Annie Mae Young Davis. She was united in marriage to George Marvin Cofer, who preceded her in death, and moved to Memphis around 1932. She retired from Wonder Snacks and was Christian in belief.
Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Tranum and husband Bobby of Toone; three sons, Joe Wayne Parker of Bolivar, Jimmy Cofer and wife Donna of Oakland and Jerry Cofer of Memphis; two sisters, Odell Adamson of Marked Tree, Arkansas and Lillie Jackson of Bolivar; six grandchildren, Amanda Burson, Wes Cofer, Jeff Tranum, Jackie Tranum, Terry Parker and Teresa Coates; fifteen great-grandchildren, Josh Tranum, Todd Tranum, Ashley Tranum, Leslie Tranum, Tyler Tranum, Jade Hubbard, Ashlyn Burson, Aiden Burson, Ethan Parker, Logan Parker, Heather Parker, Lillie Coates, Braden Coates, Charley Coates and Lauren Coates; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Ella Mae Hooper and Beulah Cryer; a brother, William Davis; and a grandson, Robert Anthony Tranum.
