Mrs. Mary Alice Lawson Alexander died at Adamsville Healthcare in Adamsville, Tennessee on February 10, 2025, at the age of 104 years, 3 months, and 24 days.
Mary Alice was born to Riley and Rosetta Murray Lawson on October 17, 1920. She was born and raised in Rocky Top, Tennessee. She worked at Y12 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and helped build the atomic bomb during WWII. She later worked as an inspector at H.I.S. Sportswear in Saltillo, Tennessee. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Saltillo, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cleo Howell Alexander (T-Model); sisters, Willie, Georgia, Annalee, and Margaret; and brothers, John, Millard, and Mitt.
She is survived by her sons, Trent Lawson (Carolyn) of Saltillo, Tennessee, Denny Alexander of Saltillo, Tennessee, and David Alexander (Donna) of Milledgeville, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and niece and nephews, April Beach, Phil Beach, Chuck Beach, and Gary Beach, that Mary Alice thought of as her daughter and additional sons.
