Mary Helen Alexander

Mary Helen Alexanderwas born in Centerville, Indiana on June 11, 1926 the daughter of the late Elbert and Julia Andrews.On September 16, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert Alexander, who preceded her in death November 1996.Ms. Alexander was a member of the Greensfork United Methodist Church and had attended the First Assembly Church of God in Savannah, Tennessee.Ms. Alexander departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the age of 82 years, 9 months, 28 days.Ms. Alexander is survived by 2 daughters, Darlene Stevenson of Oolitic, Indiana and Melissa Murphy of Fort Worth, Texas; 2 sons, Rev. Todd Alexander of Nashville, Tennessee and Erin Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee; a sister, Nan Riech of Chicago, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Alexander and 6 brothers.Funeral arrangements are being completed by Doan and Mills Funeral Home in Centerville, Indiana. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
