Mr. Marvin Monroe Mayfield, age 91 of Toone, Tennessee passed away Wednesday morning, September 14, 2016 at Pleasant View Healthcare in Bolivar.
He was born the son of the late William Ambrose and Jennie Ervin Mayfield and lived his entire life in Hardeman County. Mr. Mayfield served his country in WW2 as a member of the US Navy. Upon the conclusion of the War, he was united in marriage to Mable Shearon on February 8, 1946. Mrs. Mayfield died November 16, 1987. He was a Baptist in faith.
He leaves two sons, Miles Mayfield (Sheila) and Danny Mayfield (Jane), both of Toone; a brother, Donald Mayfield of Memphis; two sisters, Inez Parker of Memphis, and Margie Sappington of Bridgeport, TX; five grandchildren, Amy Chambers (Jason), Matthew Mayfield (Brandie), Hank Mayfield (Bethani), Clint Mayfield (Rachel) and Hope Mayfield; and four great-grandchildren, Kylie and Lilah Chambers, Riley and Caleb Mayfield.
