Marvin "Bud" Holt

Marvin Warren Holt was born November 22, 1945 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Homer Lee and Annie Lucille Warren Holt. He was united in marriage to Connie Ruth King on June 26, 1971. Mr. Holt departed this life at his home on January 23, 2020 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 2 Months, 1 Day.

Mr. Holt enjoyed gardening, watching wildlife and participating in turkey shoots, he also attended the Beech Creek Church of Christ.


He is survived by his wife Connie Ruth (King) Holt ; son, Doug Holt and wife Tina all of Waynesboro, TN; two daughters, Wenda Holt of Shelbyville, TN and Lisa Holt of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Jackie Holt , James (Sonny) Holt of Waynesboro, TN; and sister, Margie Quillen all of Waynesboro, TN; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren

In addition to his parents, Mr. Holt was preceded in death by a grandchild, Bronson Jones and a sister, Margaret Ann Kilburn;

Services will be held Tuesday January 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee

Visitation will be held Monday, January 27 from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM and again Tuesday, January 28 from 8:00 AM till 2:00 PM all at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro.

Pallbearers include Keith Quillen, Terry Quillen, Kyle Quillen, Dale Inman, Gary Boucher,DeWayne Staggs and Cory Holt.
