Marvin Austin

Marvin Austin was born February 12, 1916 in Alcorn County, Mississippi the son of the late Walter and Maude Voyles Austin.For 48 years he was married to the former Lilly Mae McAlughlin with whom he had three children. He was later married to the former Beulah Mae Rowsey for 13 years.Mr. Austin was a farmer and a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church.He departed this life on February 20, 2006 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 90 Years and 8 Days.He is survived by one daughter, Juanita Hill of Corinth, Mississippi; one son, Tommy Austin and wife Faye of Ramer, Tennessee; sister, Geraldine Lindsey of Corinth; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; step-daughter Barbara Polk and husband Bobby of Milton, Florida; three step-sons, Johnnie Rowsey and wife Alice Faye of Savannah, Tennessee, Jimmy Rowsey and wife Carolyn of Selmer, Tennessee, and Sammy Rowsey and wife Mary of Corinth. Other than his parents and his first wife Lilly Mae Austin and second wife Beulah Mae Austin, Mr. Austin was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Austin and Harlon Ray Austin; sisters, Nellie Gray and Bertha Lambert, two brothers, Burton Austin and Ellis Austin, son-in-law Jimmy Hill; step-son, Edward Rowsey and brother-in-law, Richard Lindsey.
