Martice Ann Greer Rowlett

Martice Ann Greer Rowlett, a beloved member of her community and a dedicated caregiver, passed away on November 27, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee. Born on July 21, 1942 in Corinth, Mississippi, Martice enriched the lives of those around her for 82 years.

Martice devoted 47 years of her professional life to health care, working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at various institutions, including McNairy County General Hospital, Baptist Memorial Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Her commitment to caring for others was evident in her long-standing career, where she touched the lives of countless patients with her compassion and skill. Martice was a faithful member of the Hernando church of Christ.

Beyond her professional accolades, Martice found joy in the simpler things in life. She cherished her dogs and cats, and her love for flower gardening filled her home with beauty and warmth. Cooking was another passion, as was her deep commitment to her church. She thoroughly enjoyed celebrating all holidays and spending invaluable time with her family. Going to the movies, watching basketball, and listening to "The Rolling Stones" were cherished pastimes that brought her happiness and joy.

Her legacy will continue through her surviving family, including her brother, Don Greer and wife Joyce; her daughter-in-law, Lolita Tartt; two granddaughters, Cari Tartt and Marisa Tartt; and a grandson, Tyler Tartt. Martice also leaves behind special friends Ronnie and Teresa Medlin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will remember her fondly.

Martice now joins her parents, C. D. and Anna Lee (South) Greer, her beloved husband, Jere Rowlett, whom she married on April 28, 1978, her son, Derrick Lee Tartt, and her brother, Joe Greer, in eternal rest.

Martice Ann Greer Rowlett will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
