Mrs. Young died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at her home.
She was born on January 20, 1915, the daughter of the late James Otis Allison and Fannie Bain Allison. She was educated in the local schools and received a B.S. Degree in education from Bethel College. She taught elementary education classes for approximately 40 years. She was a member of the Hardin County Retired Teachers Association and Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Burr Young on December 6, 1982. Other deceased members included a nephew, Danny Ralph Kerr, a brother-in-law, Paul Young, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Young, Mamie Smith, Cordie Young, and Mary Young, and nieces, Ruby Smith Yeiser, and Zubie Smith Parrott.
Surviving relatives include sisters, Louise Allison Seaton and Lorena Allison Kerr and a sister-in-law, Ruth Young, along with neices, Kay Kerr Humphrey, Bobbie Seaton Anderson, Doris Smith Hudson and Esther Smith Gurkin. Surviving nephews are David Seaton, Frank Smith and Lawrence L. Smith. She had a special friend and nurse, Linda Bonee and family, Kristy Hosea and Greg Bonee.
