Martha Whitehurst

Martha Ellis Whitehurst was born May 27, 1933 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee the daughter of the late Bill and Jessie Humphries Ellis.She was last united in marriage to Wayman E. (Whitey) Whitehurst, who preceded her in death.Mrs. Whitehurst was a homemaker and was a Baptist in belief.Mrs. Whitehurst departed this life on May 3, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 11 Months, 5 Days. She is survived by three sons: Dan Wagoner of Lutcher, Louisiana, Curtis R. White and wife Vicky of Selmer, Tennessee and Derek Whitehurst of Panama City, Florida; three sisters: Frieda Holland of South Bend, Indiana, June Hill of Bethel Springs, Tennessee and Jewell Clayton Coker of Selmer, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren: Curtis Chad White, Eric Wagoner, Misty Gill, Brandy Beard, Coty Wagoner, Beau James White, Zachary Ryan White, Christina Whitehurst and Hanna Whitehurst; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, Mrs. Whitehurst was also preceded in death by a son, James Calvin White, and siblings Allen (Boy) Ellis, Jack Ellis, Orlando Ellis, Shirley Ellis, J. P. Ellis and Mae Sanders.
