Martha Jones

Martha Hammers Jones passed away after a brief illness. Born in Bolivar, she spent many years of her adult life in McAllen, Texas where she was a dental hygenist and office manager. She moved back to Medon in 1986.



Mrs. Jones was a life long Baptist and very active in church activities. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Jones, her parents, Lee and Lola Hammers and her brothers, Bonner and James Hammers. Survivors include her nephews, Alvin and Michael Hammers, her special cousin, Doris Gates, her niece, Jennifer Hammers Gartrell, nephews Jay and Lee Hammers, nieces, Elizabeth and Katherine Hammers, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for her streength of character, sense of humor, strong work ethic and compassion for others.
