Martha Edith Flatt was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on June 7, 1930, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Martha Jane Hollin Sharpe.
She was a homemaker and a member of the House of Mercy Church.
Mrs. Flatt departed this life on August 17, 2005 at Hardin Medical Center at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 10 days.
She is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Paul Terry of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Paula and Mike Robinson of Adamsville, Tennessee, Pam and Brian Adkins of Birmingham, Alabama and Jackie and Ben Sinclair of Crump, Tennessee; two sons and their wives, Jim and Theresa Flatt of Tupelo, Mississippi and Dennis and Julie Flatt of Savannah, Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and one sister, Louise Hughes of Savannah, Tennessee. She is also survived by a special nephew, Howard Rogers.
Mrs. Flatt was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Jeanette Flatt; a son, Jerry Lynn Flatt; four sisters, Bessie Rogers, Lessie Greene, Guila V. Turner and Fannie Mae Poindexter and three brothers, Grover Sharp, Jewel C. Sharp and Sherman C. Sharp.
