Marshall Burton Turner

Marshall Burton Turner, age 81, departed this life on May 1, 2009 at Jackson General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born Janunary 10 ,1928 in Blair, NE. He served 6 years in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a retired crash inspector for the Federal Aviation Authority and often flew himself to the crash sight. Mr. Turner was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Selmer.He is survived by his wife Georgia Curlin Turner of Selmer, TN; daughter, Patty Stevenson (Larry) of Cedar Rapids, IA; a son, Michael Turner (Jeannie) of Mesa, AZ; step daughter, Barbara Curlin Bregman; 3 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, 12 Step Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Grandchildren.Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents, Stu and Dorothy Maurer; stepson, Tommy K. Curlin.Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 6 at 3 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Selmer with Dr. Jim Jones of Jackson officiating.
