Marshall Ray Dixon

Services for Marshall Ray Dixon, age 75, of Collinwood, Tennessee will be Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Shawnettee Methodist Church near Collinwood, Tennessee with John Ives officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Shawnettee Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Timmy Keeton, Terry Keeton, Brad Reed, Jason Love, Stacey Wharton, Joe Brison. Honorary pallbearers will be John D. Stricklin, Greg Dixon, Eugene Arnett, Gordon Hinton, Michael Dixon, James Lee Dixon, Jerry Horton, Harold Horton.Mr. Dixon was born June 11, 1933 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the son of the late Calvin Samuel and Lillie Elizabeth Bryant Dixon. He died on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at his home at the age of 75 Years, 4 Months, 7 Days. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas C. Dixon and Kenneth H. Dixon. He served in the U.S. Army, was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company, and was a member of the Methodist Church.Survivors, daughter, Janice Crews and husband, Tim of McAlister, OK; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bowen and husband, Eli, and Amanda Crews; great-grandchild, Kaylee Elizabeth Bowen; three sisters, Bessie Mae Keeton and Peggy Dixon both of Collinwood, TN, and Carolyn Love of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.
