Mark L. Staggs

Funeral services for Mark L. Staggs, age 50, of Waynesboro, TN will be 11:00 am Monday, December 31, 2007 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro with Marvin Champion officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Staggs, a native of Lawrence County, died suddenly Friday, December 28, 2007 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lewis (Flukey) Staggs; grandfathers, Billy Rumbaugh and Neal Staggs; and grandmother, Leona Staggs Butler. Mark was presently co-owner of Butler Mortgage and was a building inspector for the City of Waynesboro. Also, he was previously co-owner of Butler Folgers Insurance Agency and previous owner of Waynesboro Carpet Center. Mark served in the U.S. Air Force and attended Waynesboro First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gilda K. Risner Staggs; daughter, Chelsea Elizabeth Staggs; and a son, Cameron Markus Staggs; mother, Elaine Staggs Bogle and step-father, David Bogle all of Waynesboro, TN; brother, Ronald Edward Staggs of Lawrenceburg, TN and a sister, Rita Staggs Shipley of Hampshire, TN; grandmother, Audry Rumbaugh Hudgins of Waynesboro, TN
