MARIE WILLIAMSwas born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on September 24, 1934 the daughter of the late Jesse and Della Steely Scott.On May 25, 1952 she was united in marriage to Leslie Williams, who survives.Mrs. Williams was a homemaker. She was a member of Bumpus Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams departed this life on March 3, 2008 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 8 days.Other than her husband, Leslie, she is survived by 5 daughters, Beverly Hunt of Adamsville, Tennessee, Effie McFall, Linda Hunt, Cindy Benson and Connie Word all of Savannah, Tennessee.2 sons, Ernest and Leon Williams, both of Savannah, Tennessee22 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6 foster great-grandchildren2 sisters, Inez Craig and Jessie Nell Franks, both of Savannah, Tennessee2 brothers, O. V. Scott of Lutts, Tennessee and Roy Lynn Scott of Savannah, Tennessee.Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by one son, Ricky Lynn Williams and one grandson, Ernest Lynn Williams.
