Marie Whitaker

Marie Whitaker was born April 8, 1927 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Jim and Ollie Harris Hill. She was united in marriage to Billy Whitaker on March 16, 1952 having just recently celebrated their 60th anniversary.Mrs. Whitaker departed this life on Monday, April 16, 2012 at her home in Selmer at the age of 85 Years, 8 Days. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.She is survived by her husband Billy Whitaker of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren, Marty Whitaker, Greg Whitaker, Kristi Shorter, Shari Boyd; three great grandchildren, Chandler Blake Whitaker, Heather Marie Whitaker, Hannah Renee Whitaker; a brother, Roger Hill of Bethel Springs, TN.A host of extended family and friends.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by a son, Joe Dan Whitaker in 2004.
