MARIE CASTELLAW JONES
Henderson, TN: Winnie Marie Castellaw Jones age 88 passed away April 30, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born October 26, 1926 in Brownsville, TN and reared in Jackson, TN the daughter of the late Isaac Edward Castellaw and Winnie Mable White Castellaw. She attended schools in Madison County. She graduated Jackson High School in 1947 and went to West Tennessee Business School. She married Owen Jones in 1948 and they made their home in Jackson. Mrs. Jones worked for Owens Corning in Jackson for eleven years as a statistical analysis. Mr. Jones taught auto mechanics at the Vo Tech School in Jackson. They moved to Henderson in 2003 to be closer to their daughter Meredith. Mr. Jones passed away in 2008. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Meredith Holder and husband Phil of Henderson; a brother, Ike Castellaw of Henderson and a sister, Emma Jean Kirby of Bells.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Virginia Caradine.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, Graveside at the Trinity Cemetery with Ken Frye officiating with burial to follow.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel.
